Tu Lien Bridge – A Landmark Infrastructure Project
On May 19th, 2025, Hanoi officially commenced construction of the Tu Lien Bridge, one of the city’s key transportation and urban architecture projects. The bridge is expected to become a new symbol of the capital – a thousand-year-old cultural city and a UNESCO City for Peace.
Designed as a cable-stayed bridge with dual-plane cables, Tu Lien Bridge features a long main span and strikingly tall pylons, contributing to both architectural beauty and the city’s skyline. Once completed in 2027, the bridge will not only help alleviate traffic congestion in the northern and northeastern parts of Hanoi but also serve as a cultural landmark reflecting the identity of the city.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, government leaders expressed hope that the Tu Lien Bridge would stand as a testament to Hanoi’s strong, sustainable, and modern development in the years to come.
